Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea: Bring Milk to Jane

How the early Bloomfield request works: get milk from the cow on your farm after the prologue, then hand it to Jane in the kitchen to finish.

Short answer

Bring Milk to Jane is an early Bloomfield Village request, and you can finish it without buying anything. The milk comes from your own farm: after the prologue you are given a calf, it grows into a cow, and that cow's milk is what Jane wants. Carry a bottle to Jane, talk to her, and hand it over to complete the request.

The walkthrough below follows a player-made video guide, Harvest Moon Echoes of Teradea – Bring Milk to Jane Quest Guide, which films the whole errand from the farm to the hand-in.

Where the milk comes from

The guide's first step is simply "you need some milk," and the answer is your own barn. Once you finish the prologue you are given a calf, and the player estimates it takes a day or two in-game for it to grow into a cow that can be milked. From then on the milk is collected on your farm, at the farmstead the guide walks back to after the opening story.

That estimate is the player's own; the video does not pin down the exact growth timing, and it does not name a game version or platform.

Finding Jane

Jane is in Bloomfield Village, where the game starts. In the guide, the player enters a building and finds her indoors, in the small kitchen area, rather than out on the street. Once you talk to her and hand over the milk, the request is marked complete and the video wraps up there.

For context on who you are delivering to, Ushi No Tane's preview page describes Jane as a Bloomfield teacher with a love of books who wants to visit the university libraries in Maplehill, and lists her among the game's marriage candidates.

If the cow has no milk ready

In the video itself the cow had not produced a fresh bottle at the moment the player checked — they say they are not sure why — and they still had milk on hand from an earlier collection to finish the errand. So a sensible approach, offered as general troubleshooting rather than a tested feature:

  • If the milking prompt is not available, sleep through the night and check the barn again the next in-game morning; animals in this series typically produce once per day.
  • Keep one bottle of plain milk in your bag when you accept the request, so a slow production day does not stall the hand-in.
  • If you are carrying flavored milk from a special cow, do not assume it counts. The Outerhaven's hands-off preview notes that Natsume showed off a Mooberry cow producing strawberry milk, but the walkthrough does not show whether flavored milk is accepted for this request.

Don't confuse it with the Wolf Hill delivery

Bloomfield has more than one milk-related errand early on, so check the name in your request log. The Outerhaven's preview describes a separate early objective: delivering a bottle of hot milk to Lupo, the wolf spirit guarding Wolf Hill, which required a horse to cross an obstacle first. That is a different destination and a different recipient from Jane.

Version and platform notes

As of 2026-10-16, the official Steam page lists Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea at $49.99 with a release date of Oct 14, 2026, and it does not document individual quest steps. Ushi No Tane's preview page lists the game for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Steam and Xbox Series X|S. Because the walkthrough does not state a build, small differences in animal timing or quest text between patches are possible; the general flow of farm milk to Jane should stay the same.
