Yes — it moved from September 24 to October 15, 2026

Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea was delayed by roughly three weeks. On 2026-08-12, Gematsu and VGChartz both reported that publisher Natsume and developer IMAGICA GEEQ had pushed the game from its previously planned September 24 release date to October 15. It was a short slip within the same year, not a move into 2027, and the game is now out.

Neither the Gematsu article nor the VGChartz article published on 2026-08-12 gives a reason for the move, so treat any confident explanation you see elsewhere as speculation.

What the announcement said

The reports on 2026-08-12 agree on the shape of the change:

  • Old date: September 24, 2026 (no longer in effect).
  • New date: October 15, 2026.
  • Platforms named at the time: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
  • Physical editions: Gematsu's write-up says the PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Switch versions would be available both physically and digitally.

That is the whole of it — same game, same platforms, just later. If you were holding off on pre-ordering because of the September date, there was nothing in the delay that changed what was being sold, only when.

Where the date stands on the store page

As of 2026-10-16, the official Steam page lists the release date as October 14, 2026 — one day earlier than the October 15 date in the delay announcement. Store listings and announcements do not always use the same reference point, so the practical move is to check the store page for the platform you actually intend to buy on, since that is the listing that governs your purchase and unlock.

One detail on the Steam page lines up with the October 15 announcement rather than the October 14 listing: a gift-with-purchase offer for the free Mooberry Cow Pack is shown as running from 10/15/2026 to 11/11/2026.

What's on the Steam page now that it's out

For players who mainly want to know whether the delayed version is worth picking up, the official Steam page as of 2026-10-16 shows:

  • Price of $49.99.
  • Steam Deck compatibility rated Verified.
  • A "Controller Required" note, plus Xbox and PlayStation controller support listed.
  • Single-player, with Steam Achievements (48 listed), Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing.
  • Interface support for English and six more languages.
  • User reviews shown as Mixed, at 45% positive from 20 reviews.

The review total is small, so read it as an early snapshot of launch reception rather than a settled verdict on the game.

If you still see September 24 somewhere

September 24 is the pre-delay date. Any page, video description, or pre-order listing still quoting it is simply out of date, and the delay announcement of 2026-08-12 is what replaced it. Community wikis and release trackers are a reasonable cross-check, but when two dates disagree, the platform store page is the one to trust for your own copy.

If you're mapping out a purchase or a pre-order, the wider release picture — platforms, editions, and what ships where — is collected on our Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea release date page.
