Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea Hare Location
Where players report finding hares south of the village in Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, plus how to sneak close and start taming them.

Table of Contents
Hares in Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea turn up in the wild area south of the village. The route players describe is short: leave the village heading south, take the left branch at the fork (the one by the sign), and follow that path down until it opens out at the lake. The hares are grazing around the front of the lake rather than tucked away in the woods, and at least one player found two of them there.
The official Steam page for Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea does not describe hare locations as of 2026-10-16, so everything below comes from player videos rather than a published map.
The route, step by step
- Head south out of the village.
- At the fork, go left — the branch with the sign beside it.
- Keep following that path downhill toward the lake.
- Look along the front edge of the lake. The hares are out in the open there, not hiding behind trees.
That is the whole approach. The two videos linked below cover the same spot, which is why the directions line up so closely.

Sneaking up instead of running in
Hares bolt if you charge at them, so the trick is the approach, not the location. The player in the hare location video crawls toward the hare rather than walking straight up to it, and only closes the last bit of distance slowly. If you spook one, back off and let it settle before trying again.
Once you are close enough, interact to pet it — that is the action that starts the taming progress.
Making a hare a pet
Petting builds progress over several days. In the how to get a hare video, the author estimates around four days of petting to finish, and says that offering wild strawberries speeds the progress up noticeably compared with petting alone. Treat both as that player's estimates: neither video gives an exact number of days, gifts, or hearts, and no official taming values have been published.

If you don't see any hares
The videos don't mention time of day, weather or season affecting the spawn, so there is no confirmed window to aim for. If the lake edge is empty when you arrive, it is worth trying a different in-game time on another day, or reloading a save and walking the route again — wildlife in farming games often spawns on a schedule. None of this is confirmed behaviour for Echoes of Teradea, just the usual thing to check before assuming you have the wrong spot.
One thing worth ruling out first: make sure you took the left branch at the fork. The right-hand path leads elsewhere, and players who end up there usually conclude the hares don't exist.
Version notes
Neither video states which platform or build it was recorded on. The game released on 14 October 2026 according to the Steam page, and the recordings appear to be from the launch version, so a later patch could change wildlife spawning without any of these directions being wrong about the map.
